Maidstone is the county town of Kent and is well situated in the centre of the county.
The historic cities of Rochester, Canterbury and Tunbridge Wells are all within easy traveling distance.
There are many National Trust properties nearby.
Leeds castle, “the most beautiful castle in the world”, is among many wonderful places to visit in this area - try Bodiam Castle, Rochester Castle, Canterbury Cathedral.
The channel tunnel is 45 minutes away and it is possible to be in continental Europe in about 90 minutes, either driving or by rail.
